In an urgent and unprecedented operation, 147 horses were transferred from Qatar to Europe to ensure their safety, amidst disruptions to air traffic in the region.
The operation was carried out in just 36 hours, with full coordination between the organizing committee of "Doha Equestrian Tours", the competent Qatari authorities, and the air cargo company, with attendants accompanying their horses on board the planes. Due to the closure of Qatari airspace, some trainers and crew members were transported by land to Riyadh and Amman to complete the journey to Europe. Preparations for the tournament competitions continue at the "Longines Arena" in Al Shaqab, in preparation for the resumption of the rest of the season's events as soon as conditions improve.
