HIBAPRESS – Rabat
Bank Al-Maghrib expects that the main grain harvest during the current agricultural season will record a significant level that may exceed 82 million quintals, based on a cultivated area estimated at approximately 3.9 million hectares, in an indicator that reflects an improvement in agricultural conditions compared to previous seasons.
The central bank clarified that this expected performance will positively reflect on the added value of the agricultural sector, where it is likely to record an increase of about 14.4 percent during the year 2026, driven by improved agricultural production. This development comes in the context of optimistic expectations regarding the agricultural season, which may contribute to supporting national economic growth, given the pivotal role played by the agricultural sector in the Moroccan economy.
