The Algerian sports commentator Hafeez Derraji quickly began to cry after the decision of the Appeals Committee of the Confederation of African Football, considering the Senegalese national team a loser in the final of the African Cup of Nations against Morocco, and thus withdrawing the title from it and giving it to the "Atlas Lions".
Derraji said in a short post published on his personal "Facebook" account, which he titled "The Shock", that the Appeals Committee considered, two months after the final, "the Senegalese national team withdrew from the final of the African Cup of Nations, and announced Morocco's victory with a score of 3-0 and crowning it champion on paper!". Derraji is going through difficult times due to the state of anger he brought upon himself after standing by Iran, which has been bombing the Gulf countries, including Qatar, for more than two weeks, so he was excluded from commenting on the matches. The "beIN SPORTS" network did not publish any official clarifications regarding the real reasons for Derraji's absence from commenting on the matches, but identical sources suggested that the Qatari channel decided to give him an open vacation until his fate is determined, because of his support for Iran.
