HIBAPRESS – Tetouan
During the extraordinary session for the month of March, the municipal council of Tetouan approved, by a majority of its members, the election of Mustafa Al-Abbasi as vice-president of the council, succeeding Anas Al-Yamlah, in a move that falls within the restructuring of the governing body.
It is expected that Al-Abbasi will assume the duties of the eighth vice-president of the council, with a move towards assigning the supervision of the cultural affairs sector to him, within the framework of redistributing competencies in a way that enhances the effectiveness of local management and improves the performance of collective work. Al-Abbasi is considered one of the prominent names within the municipal council, by virtue of his academic background, in addition to his professional and organizational presence, where he holds the position of secretary of the regional branch of the National Union of Moroccan Journalists, as well as his career within the Socialist Union party, which enhances his position within the political and institutional scene at the local level.
