HIBAPRESS – A. Mahyawi
In a new step to strengthen the infrastructure and improve the flow of traffic, the works for the construction of the RP5006 ring road at the Bensouda area were officially launched, with an estimated total cost of 26 billion centimes, distributed over four phases.
This road project is expected to be a qualitative addition to the road network in the city of Fez, as it aims to reduce traffic pressure on the main axes and improve the connection between neighborhoods, especially in areas with high population density. The task of carrying out the works was assigned to the international company GTR, which will undertake the implementation of the various phases of the project according to modern technical standards, while the company Fez for Preparation supervises the progress of the works, under the supervision of its director Hicham El-Kartassi, who continues, since assuming responsibility, to push for a number of structured projects that have changed the features of the city's infrastructure. This project comes within the framework of the development dynamic that Fez is experiencing, through which the local authorities are betting on modernizing and qualifying the road network, in a way that meets the requirements of urban growth and enhances the city's attractiveness economically and investment-wise. The new ring road is expected to contribute to improving transportation conditions, reducing the duration of trips within the city, in addition to supporting the connection between major axes, which reflects a comprehensive vision for the development of the urban area and enhancing the quality of life for the population.
