HIBAPRESS – Abdellatif Baraka
In a move that enhances the path of transparency and enshrines the right to access information, the Ministry of Justice has joined the National Portal for the Right to Information, along with the Supreme Council of the Judicial Authority and the Presidency of the Public Prosecution, within the framework of expanding the scope of adoption of this digital platform within the justice system.
The accession agreement was signed at the headquarters of the Ministry of Justice, in the presence of the concerned officials, where the importance of this step in modernizing the methods of managing requests for information was emphasized, and enabling citizens and foreigners legally residing to submit and track their requests and complaints electronically, in accordance with the legal requirements in force. This portal is a modern digital mechanism that allows public institutions to process requests more efficiently, while providing accurate data and indicators that help improve the quality of services and enhance the governance of the public facility. It also constitutes a fundamental pillar for simplifying procedures and bringing the administration closer to the users, especially in the context of the digital transformation that the justice system is witnessing. The concerned parties affirmed that the involvement of these three judicial institutions constitutes a qualitative step towards consolidating the principles of transparency and openness, and strengthening citizens' confidence in justice, by ensuring smooth and organized access to information. This approach comes within the framework of implementing the provisions of the constitution and the law related to the right to access information, as well as continuing the reform of the judicial administration, in a way that keeps pace with digital transformations and increases the efficiency of public performance.
