HIBAPRESS – Casablanca
Internal disagreements have erupted within the Justice and Development Party at the Casablanca-Settat region level, against the backdrop of discussions related to granting endorsements for the upcoming elections, at a sensitive time preceding the legislative elections by a few weeks.
According to data circulated from within the party's recent meeting in the region, tensions emerged between a number of members after the name of a candidate who does not enjoy widespread consensus was proposed, and it was decided to grant him the endorsement at the level of one of the Casablanca districts, which raised the dissatisfaction of a number of party activists who expressed their rejection of this choice.
Observers believe that these disagreements may further complicate the situation of the party, which has lost some of its luster in recent years, and may affect its internal cohesion at a stage that requires strong organizational mobilization, especially with the approach of the election date and the great political and organizational stakes it imposes.
