The Regional Multi-Service Company of Casablanca-Settat continues its efforts to secure the supply of drinking water and address water stress in the region, by implementing an ambitious program to build mobile stations for water desalination and mineral removal.

In this context, the company announced the entry into service of 19 mobile stations in a number of provinces in the region, including Settat, El Jadida, Berrechid, Nouaceur, and Sidi Bennour, at a time when the progress rate of the works in this program has exceeded 80 percent. This project involves the construction of 27 mobile stations with an annual production capacity estimated at 8.19 million cubic meters, with a total financial envelope of 400 million dirhams, funded by the Ministry of Interior and the Casablanca-Settat Regional Council. Mohsen Mersli, the project manager at the company, confirmed that the pace of work is experiencing remarkable progress thanks to the mobilization of technical teams in the various provinces of the region, noting that this program will ensure the continuity of drinking water supply for the benefit of the population. Since the launch of the project, the amount of water produced has exceeded 2.1 million cubic meters, which has significantly contributed to supplying a number of communities, especially in rural areas, with this vital substance. In the context of completing this project, 8 additional stations are currently being built, including 5 stations that have reached their final stages in each of Sidi Rahhal, Mohammedia, Deroua, and Sidi Hajjaj, where they are expected to enter service by the end of April 2026. Construction work is also continuing on three other stations in the municipality of Mansouria in the province of Benslimane, with a total capacity of 60 liters per second, to be operational by the end of next May. These stations rely on reverse osmosis technology, which allows the production of high-quality water in an environmentally friendly manner, contributing to meeting the urgent needs of the population, especially in vulnerable areas. This program reflects the commitment of various stakeholders to enhancing water security in the region and ensuring a sustainable supply of drinking water in light of current climate challenges.
