Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that Israel continues its operations against targets in Iran with the aim of weakening what he described as the "terrorist regime," stressing that these strikes "do not target the Iranian people."
Netanyahu added in a press statement that Israeli pilots destroyed, on Monday, transport aircraft and dozens of helicopters at a base belonging to the Iranian Air Force. He affirmed that today's operations targeted railway lines and bridges used by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard to transport raw materials necessary for the manufacture of weapons, the weapons themselves, as well as the elements that he said attack Israel, the United States, and countries in the region and oppress the Iranian people. Netanyahu stressed that these operations, which he said he had approved with the Minister of Defense, aim to "crush the terrorist regime" that has oppressed Iranians for 47 years, and not to attack the Iranian people. He affirmed that Israel is working to change the balance of power in the region.
