Security services in the city of Tangier managed to apprehend a minor, aged 17, on suspicion of his involvement in assaulting a girl and stealing her handbag in the Al-Branes neighborhood, in the early hours of the morning. This incident was documented by a video clip that circulated.
The apprehension of the suspect, who resides in the Messnana neighborhood, came after investigations and inquiries initiated by the Public Security investigations team at the Tangier Medina security district, which enabled them to identify him and reach him in a short time.
Following his apprehension, the minor was placed at the disposal of the Juvenile Unit of the Judicial Police at the Tangier security directorate, for questioning about the circumstances and details of the case, before being placed under observation upon instructions from the competent public prosecution.
In contrast, security investigations are continuing to identify the companion who appeared with him in the video clip and apprehend him, in preparation for his presentation before the competent public prosecution.
