At the heart of this developmental equation, local authorities are expected to play a leading and supportive role by removing obstacles and providing an environment that fosters and attracts capital. However, data and field reports from Ras El Ma paint a different picture, overshadowed by discontent and tension.
Echoes indicate the emergence of issues and disputes between some economic actors and the leadership of the municipal council, instead of the local administration being a strategic ally and guide that smooths out administrative difficulties. This raises broad questions about the readiness of local institutional structures to accommodate serious initiatives.
The philosophy of encouraging modern investment does not conflict at all with legal rigor; rather, it requires the application of laws with a flexible and transparent spirit based on dialogue, guidance, and advice, instead of drowning initiatives in a vortex of bureaucratic complexities that extinguish hope in its cradle.
When actual support is absent and disagreements turn into confrontations, the primary victim is not just the investor alone, but the entire city, which is deprived of golden opportunities to diversify its economic fabric and enhance its territorial attractiveness.
In the face of these pressing challenges, it has become imperative to open a serious and responsible dialogue that places the interest of Ras El Ma above all considerations, to assess the local investment climate and to objectively and wisely ascertain the reality of the constraints. Sustainable development is not built on circumstantial slogans, but requires political will and vigilant local management that makes the investor a partner in building, so that the city regains its brilliance and its natural potential is transformed into real wealth that shapes the future and opens a promising horizon for all.
