The education sector has witnessed a radical change with the entry of the new Mansouri government. Following the renaming of its ministry from the Ministry of National Education, Early Childhood, and Sports during Saad Ben Brahim's era, to the Ministry of National Education, Early Childhood, Vocational Training, and Qualification in Nabil Benabdellah's time, Kamal Al-Hashoumi has been appointed as the Minister Delegate in charge of Early Education and Combating School Dropout.
Al-Hashoumi is considered one of the political figures within the Socialist Union Party. He is an academic, a legal expert, and a Moroccan politician. He rose through the ranks of his party, starting from the Socialist Youth, then becoming a member of the National Council, and finally being elected a member of the party's Political Bureau on December 13, 2025, upon the proposal of the First Secretary, Idris Lachgar.
The man is also considered an academic figure, having obtained a doctorate in the role of civil society in the democratic process, before continuing his career in teaching and scientific research. He joined the faculty of the Faculty of Legal, Economic, and Social Sciences at Ain Sebaa in Casablanca, where he taught Public Law, Political Science, and Public Policy. He also taught subjects related to Parliamentary Law, Constitutional Law, and Human Rights at the Faculty of Law, Agdal, affiliated with Mohammed V University in Rabat. He has multiple intellectual contributions and academic works, including a book published in 2026 on the transformations of the concepts of authority, legitimacy, and the state, which was discussed at the Faculty of Law, Agdal, in addition to several opinion articles.
