As part of efforts to enhance coordination between various health institutions and improve the quality of services provided to beneficiaries, the Director General of the Territorial Health Group of the Fez-Meknes region held a coordination meeting last Friday, October 16, 2026, with officials from the health districts affiliated with the group. The meeting was dedicated to discussing mechanisms for managing resources and the challenges associated with ensuring the continuity of health services.
The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss a number of files related to the management of the health system at the regional level, foremost among which are human resources, ensuring the regular supply of medicines and health products to health institutions, and improving the readiness of medical equipment and increasing its efficiency of use.
The work of the meeting also focused on strengthening governance and developing coordination between the various health districts, which contributes to standardizing management methods and improving the monitoring of the needs of health institutions, while ensuring the continuity of services, especially in emergency and vital departments.
The meeting emphasized the importance of adopting accurate and updated data in the decision-making process, as well as strengthening proactive planning and standardizing follow-up mechanisms and report preparation, which allows for the identification of priorities and a better response to the needs of institutions that are experiencing increasing pressure or provide their services to wide territorial areas.
In the same context, the necessity of directing available resources according to the actual needs of health institutions was stressed, with special attention paid to vital departments that require continuous readiness, thereby ensuring the continuity of patient care and improving the conditions of their reception and treatment.
The meeting concluded with the continuation of regular coordination meetings and enhanced monitoring of the status of health institutions, with a view to establishing more efficient and proactive management, based on performance indicators and the extent of response to the health needs of the population.
This step falls within the framework of strengthening coordination and integration between the various components of the Territorial Health Group in the Fez-Meknes region, while the main challenge remains to translate the management and coordination mechanisms into a tangible improvement in the quality of health services and the conditions of patient care in the various regions of the governorate.
