HIBAPRESS – Mohamed Daher
The police elements in the first security district of the city of Ibn Jerrir managed, last Thursday, to arrest a septuagenarian man in possession of approximately 340 capsules of Lirica medication, and a collection of forged medical prescriptions were seized from him.
Security investigations and inquiries have revealed that the arrested individual has a criminal record in the field of promoting narcotic medical pills, and that he came to Ibn Jerrir to acquire this type of medication, relying on forged medical prescriptions that he uses to deceive pharmacy owners to obtain his desired medications, before re-promoting them in Casablanca among addicts.
After the investigation was completed, the accused was presented before the Public Prosecution at the Ibn Jerrir Court of First Instance, which pursued him on charges of possessing and transporting narcotic medical pills, their illegal trafficking, and forgery and its use in obtaining them.
After the completion of his interrogation, the Public Prosecution, while he was in custody, referred him on the same day to the disciplinary felony chamber of the same court, before he was placed in the local prison "Ibn Jerrir 2" pending trial.
