The “Aciturri” group, specialized in the manufacturing of aerospace structures and engine parts, inaugurated its new production site on Wednesday in the “Medpark” industrial zone in Nouaceur.
The stability of the group in Morocco was embodied by the rental of a building with an area of 2,800 square meters in the “Medpark” zone, following the acquisition of the company “GOAM Industrie” in 2023, with an investment greater than 30 million dirhams, for the aim of creating a factory specializing in the manufacture of aircraft engine blades, which will create… 100 jobs.
In a speech delivered on this occasion, Director of Aviation, Railways, Ships and Renewable Energy Industries at the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Afaf Saidi, highlighted the importance of this opening, which constitutes an important step in the development of the aeronautical sector in Morocco.
She added that this factory will be dedicated to the production of engine parts for leading programs, such as the LEAP engine (LEAP 1A, LEAP 1B and LEAP 1C), noting that this project reflects the attractiveness and transparency of the Moroccan industrial system, as well as the quality of its human resources.
Ms. Saidi said: “We are proud to welcome an investor of the size of the Aciturri Group, which is the first Spanish industrial company to establish itself on the Moroccan air platform. This only reflects the strength of the economic relations existing between Spain and Morocco.
He also specified that the acquisition of the “GOAM” site by the “Aciturri” group in 2023 would allow the group to double its production capacity and strengthen the value chain of the Moroccan aeronautical industry.
For his part, the president and CEO of the Aciturri Group, Ginnis Clementi, returned to the reasons for the stability of the company in Morocco, emphasizing the presence of a strategic ambition focused on growth.
He explained that the “Aciturri” group seeks to balance its activities in the aeronautical sector, which currently represents 80 percent of its organization, by doubling its turnover in the engine sector by five or six, stressing that the decision to establish a branch in Morocco arises from a desire to develop this market and strengthen the group’s presence in France and Spain.
