On Saturday, the competent public prosecutor’s office at the Settat judicial department ordered that a medical autopsy be carried out on the body of a newborn, in order to determine the causes of death, after its discovery in the main street of a residential subdivision of the city. of Darwa, in the province of Berrechid in the Casablanca-Settat region.
According to local sources, the continuous barking of a dog attracted the attention of a number of citizens, prompting them to investigate the matter, but they discovered that the dog was guarding the child’s body with a remarkable interest. Immediately, citizens reported the incident to the relevant authorities.
In response to this information, members of the Royal Gendarmerie, accompanied by the forensic diagnosis team of the Berrechid company and a representative of the local authority of Darwa, went to the scene where the body was found .
It turned out that the body belonged to a newborn baby, abandoned in mysterious circumstances and which is still under investigation by the Darwa gendarmerie center, under the direction of the competent Settat prosecutor’s office.
