National voter Tariq Al-Saktiwi confirmed the willingness of the national Olympic team to face its Iraqi counterpart, tomorrow Tuesday, in the men’s football competitions of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
Al-Saktiwi said in a statement before the match: “What we focused on in training was to restore the players’ fitness, after our match against Ukraine.”
He added: “We have studied the opponent well, because we have identified their strengths and weaknesses, and we are determined to be ready tomorrow, whether from a mental, technical or tactical point of view, especially from a cardiac point of view. We will try to please the opponent. Moroccan supporters who expect a lot from us.
Regarding Rahimi’s condition, Al-Saktiwi said: “Rahimi was injured against Ukraine, and despite that, he continued the match until his last moments, which forced us to replace him in the last minutes. Now, there is a great effort, and we gave him 24 hours of rest so that he is ready for tomorrow’s match, and I have confidence in him. He is ready for tomorrow’s match.
