HIBAPRESS announced that the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM) has renewed the "Corporate Social Responsibility Label" (Label RSE) for three companies under the Cosumar group: COSUMAR SA, SUTA, and SUNABEL.
This award is granted for three years, based on a recommendation from the awarding committee, following a thorough and comprehensive evaluation conducted by an independent expert accredited by the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises. This assessment was dedicated to determining the extent to which the companies' management practices align with the principles of the Confederation's social responsibility charter. This charter is structured around nine core commitment areas, formulated in complete harmony with Moroccan social legislation and international standards in the field of social and societal responsibility. For the Cosumar group, this renewal reinforces a strategic and sustainable approach to social responsibility; an ingrained approach that extends its impact to all stages of the national sugar chain. This path starts from the agricultural sector, with close and fruitful cooperation with agricultural partners in the Doukkala, Tadla, Gharb, Loukkos, and Moulouya regions, extending to the precise industrial activities of extraction and refining. Beyond being a mere institutional recognition, this entitlement embodies the continuity of a structured vision based on the principle of continuous improvement, and focuses on actively contributing to strengthening the Kingdom's food sovereignty and promoting the sustainable development of the territorial areas that produce sugar plants.
