The Moroccan government expressed its heartfelt condolences and full solidarity with the families of the victims of the tragic floods that swept through the city of Safi, causing significant material and human losses.
The Head of Government, Aziz Akhannouch, during the monthly question session held today, Monday, offered his sincere condolences and sympathy to the families of the victims on his behalf and on behalf of the members of the government, wishing the injured a speedy recovery. Akhannouch explained that this disaster occurred following rainfall that reached 37 millimeters in a short period of time, which led to floods that affected the Bab Chaaba historical market area, through which the Wadi Chaaba passes, where a number of merchants and workers were present who died, may God have mercy on them. It is worth noting that the city of Safi witnessed unprecedented floods that caused 37 deaths, according to the latest figures announced by the local authorities.
