Mohamed Al-Glousi, president of the Moroccan Association for the Protection of Public Funds, launched an appeal to support his campaign aimed at combating the phenomenon of the exploitation of state vehicles outside of professional functions and for personal and family purposes.
Al-Ghalousi posted a long and detailed message on his Facebook wall in which he said:
“Moroccans will find themselves during their summer holidays and in all the places they will pass through (beaches, forests, valleys, mountains, restaurants, weddings, festivals, funerals … etc.) at night but also during the day and every day of the week, with cars belonging to local communities and public institutions, the cars,” he says Al-Glossi) are exploited by those who are supposed to want to serve the public interest. Their various expenses and costs, including gasoline, repairs, and other things, are paid with public money, even if these cars (adds Al-Galousi) were made available to the interested parties because of his work, so that he can exploit them for profit and for functionalism. , not for personal and private purposes.
Al-Glossi described the phenomenon as a provocative practice, saying:
“This provocative and unacceptable practice is, in its depth, a manifestation of the continuation of rent-seeking and corruption in public life.”
Al-Ghalousi called on the Prime Minister and the Interior Ministry to confront this phenomenon by activating the law and holding accountable all those who dared to operate these cars outside of their professional duties.
