Acting on precise information, the elements of the Regional Judicial Police Brigade in Berkane managed to apprehend a woman suspected of involvement in a criminal gang active in the trafficking of hard drugs.
According to concordant sources, this qualitative security operation was carried out in the area of Zaara Douar, belonging to the provincial territory of Aklim in the province of Berkane. Inspection and surveillance procedures resulted in the apprehension of the individual in question, in the act of possessing approximately one kilogram of cocaine, which was being prepared for distribution in the region.
Initial data indicated that the investigations carried out revealed that the detainee was the subject of several national arrest warrants, suspected of involvement in similar cases related to drug and psychotropic substance trafficking.
The suspect has been placed under police custody, pending judicial investigation conducted by the competent public prosecution. This is to determine how the seized shipment was used, to uncover the reach of this criminal network, and to identify all presumed suppliers and partners involved in this criminal activity.
