Yesterday, the city of Al Hoceima witnessed a meeting that brought together a number of activists, dedicated to discussing developments related to the cities of Ceuta and Melilla, and what the participants considered to be repeated Spanish provocations towards Morocco.
According to the circulated data, the meeting provided an occasion to discuss ways to respond to these developments, and to emphasize the necessity of dealing with them in a manner that preserves national sovereignty and Moroccan interests, alongside exploring the possibility of launching civil initiatives to express positions rejecting what they described as Spanish escalation.
This meeting comes in a context characterized by particular sensitivity in Moroccan-Spanish relations, especially concerning the issue of the two occupied cities, where the subject of Ceuta and Melilla remains strongly present in Moroccan public discourse.
Participants affirmed, according to available data, the importance of unifying stances and avoiding any reactions that might deviate from the peaceful and legal framework, while stressing that defending national causes remains a collective responsibility that requires awareness, vigilance, and preservation of the supreme national interest.
