HIBAPRESS – Dakhla
The anti-gang unit of the regional judicial police service at the Dakhla regional security, on Saturday, September 5, arrested a 36-year-old individual with a criminal record, on suspicion of his involvement in possessing and trafficking hashish and narcotic pills.
The suspect was apprehended in the Al-Wahda neighborhood of Dakhla city, while riding a motorcycle. He was caught red-handed with two slabs of hashish prepared for trafficking. A search of his home resulted in the seizure of additional quantities of drugs, with a total weight of approximately 2.770 kilograms, along with 11 "Rivotril" narcotic pills and a sum of money suspected to be from the proceeds of this activity.
The arrested individual has been placed under police custody, at the disposal of the judicial investigation that is being conducted under the supervision of the competent public prosecution. Meanwhile, investigations and inquiries continue to uncover any further potential ramifications of this activity and to identify all presumed accomplices.
