The Royal Gendarmerie elements of the Taroudant brigade, in coordination with the territorial center of the Gendarmerie in Ait Abdellah, managed to apprehend an individual who was the subject of several arrest warrants, suspected of being involved in criminal acts targeting a number of residents of villages located in the areas of Touflalet and Tindin, which caused a state of anxiety among the population.
The apprehension of the suspect followed field investigations and precise research led by the commander of the Royal Gendarmerie brigade, before the operation culminated in setting a trap that led to the arrest of the individual concerned.
Available data indicated that the detainee was the subject of four arrest warrants based on complaints related, according to suspicion, to theft, threats, assault and battery, public insult, property damage, as well as threats to use a firearm.
The operation also resulted in the seizure of a firearm suspected of being used in some of these acts.
The suspect has been subjected to investigations and legal procedures under the supervision of the competent public prosecution, pending his appearance before justice, until a final judicial ruling is issued against him.
