Security services in the city of Berkane arrested a man with a gunshot wound, suspected of being involved in the serious security incidents that occurred in the city of Imzouren, after he went to Berkane seeking treatment following his escape from the scene of the incident.
According to available information, the suspect was located after arriving in Berkane, before security services intervened to arrest him. It is believed he required medical attention as a result of the injury he sustained during the security confrontation in Imzouren.
The arrest of the individual comes in the wake of the security operation carried out by the anti-gang unit in Imzouren, which targeted a suspect classified among those wanted nationwide for serious criminal cases.
The operation turned into an armed confrontation, which resulted in the death of a security element and injuries to other elements. Meanwhile, the competent services continue their investigations to identify all individuals who may be connected to this case.
The arrested individual is expected to undergo judicial investigations under the supervision of the Public Prosecution to precisely determine his identity, understand the nature of his connection to the case, and verify the circumstances of his injury and the motives for his move to the city of Berkane.
