Canadian star Celine Dion has returned to the stage after a six-year absence due to health conditions, with her first concert in the French capital, Paris, met with a touching reception from her audience.
During the concert, Dion expressed her happiness at returning to the stage, emphasizing that the journey was not easy and that she needed more time than expected to regain her ability to sing before overcoming the difficulties and meeting her fans again.
Dion revealed in 2022 that she had been diagnosed with Stiff Person Syndrome, a rare neurological condition that causes muscle spasms and significantly affected her ability to sing and perform concerts.
The Canadian star could not hold back her tears during the concert, overcome with joy and emotion, before performing a number of her most famous songs, including the iconic "My Heart Will Go On" from the movie "Titanic," alongside other works that cemented her status as one of the most prominent voices in the history of global music.
Dion's return to Paris includes a series of 16 concerts, with 10 additional shows scheduled for 2027, amid significant public interest, as a number of her fans gathered in front of the hotel where she is staying in hopes of seeing her.
