Royal Gendarmerie elements thwarted an attempt suspected of being linked to sand pilfering in the Hoara area, under the command of Ajznaya in Tangier. During an on-site intervention, they managed to apprehend a large truck and escort its driver and his companion for investigation.
The intervention, according to available data, followed the spotting of the truck in the area. Its driver refused to comply with stop orders and attempted to flee, prompting the Gendarmerie elements to pursue him to stop him.
During the chase, the truck collided with a car belonging to a person present at the scene, before the Royal Gendarmerie elements managed to control the situation and end the escape attempt by arresting the driver and his companion.
The arrested individuals were caught in the act, according to preliminary data, while investigations continue under the supervision of the competent authorities to reveal the circumstances of the incident and determine all related actions and responsibilities.
