The summary criminal chamber of the Marrakech Court of First Instance has sentenced the son of a lawyer to six months of effective imprisonment after his involvement in a fatal traffic accident that claimed the life of a woman who was employed by the Agmat municipality.
The Gendarmerie in Al Haouz had previously arrested the young man responsible for the horrific traffic accident that occurred in the Agmat commune, Al Haouz province, on Monday, August 10th. He caused the death of a woman who was employed by the Agmat municipality, leaving behind three children, which caused deep grief and sorrow among the victim's family and all who witnessed the incident up close.
It should be noted that the suspect, who hails from the Tamazouzt commune, was placed under police custody for the investigation supervised by the competent public prosecution. He was subsequently transferred to Al Oudaya Local Prison on serious charges including drunk driving, unintentional homicide, and attempting to flee the scene of the accident, charges that were proven against the detainee.
