The collective leadership of the Authenticity and Modernity Party (PAM) has pledged to take what it described as "decisive organizational and political measures" against anyone proven to be connected to practices that undermine the party's values or its political project, in the wake of ongoing investigations into the irregularities that marred the electoral process in the Tangier-Assilah electoral district.
This stance by the "Tractor Party" comes in the context of the repercussions of the judicial file related to the irregularities witnessed in two polling stations during the legislative elections of September 23, 2026, in the Tangier-Assilah electoral district. The Public Prosecution at the Tangier Court of Appeal has responded to this by arresting five individuals pending investigation.
The party emphasized that it is dealing with the investigations related to the Tangier file with boldness and clarity, fully bearing its responsibilities. It affirmed its readiness to take the necessary political and organizational consequences if the investigation results show any connection of its members or officials to the file. At the same time, it expressed its welcome and appreciation for the judicial path taken by the investigations, confirming its readiness to interact with the findings of the administrative and judicial investigations and to assign political and organizational responsibilities based on their final results.
The party concluded that completing the judicial process remains the guarantee for uncovering the truth of the facts and determining responsibilities, emphasizing its rejection of preempting the investigation results or issuing verdicts before the completion of ongoing investigations, and awaiting the decisions of the competent judicial and administrative authorities.
