The main road connecting the cities of Azghenghan and Nador witnessed a traffic accident a short while ago on Friday, at the Al-Yamani bridge. A Mercedes 190 car, driven by a woman, collided with two youths who were crossing the road, in an incident that alerted the specialized authorities.
According to initial available data, the accident resulted in injuries of varying severity to the two youths, amidst a state of concern among citizens who witnessed the incident, while awaiting a complete picture of the accident's circumstances and the extent of the recorded injuries.
Testimonies from the scene indicated that the car ran over the legs of one of the injured, necessitating his urgent transfer to Al-Hasani Hospital in the city of Nador to receive necessary treatment, while the precise details regarding the nature of the second youth's injuries have not yet been clarified.
Immediately after the accident, specialized traffic police elements moved to the scene, where they began the necessary inspections and procedures to determine the circumstances of the collision and identify potential responsibilities, in accordance with applicable legal procedures.
This accident highlights the dangers of crossing roads on routes that experience continuous traffic flow, and renews calls for caution, attentiveness, and adherence to traffic rules, whether by drivers or pedestrians, to avoid similar accidents that could result in serious injuries.
