The national road No. 6 connecting Jerada and Tadart witnessed a traffic accident this Wednesday morning at the Ftoucheya roundabout, under the territorial jurisdiction of the municipality of Houara Oulad Rahou in the province of Jerada, resulting in two people sustaining serious injuries.
According to available data, the accident occurred when a motorcycle collided with an elderly man, approximately 80 years old, who was crossing the road. This resulted in him sustaining injuries, along with the motorcycle driver, described as critical.
The injured were transferred by a civil protection ambulance to the emergency department of the Jerada Provincial Hospital to receive necessary treatment, given the severity of their injuries.
Upon being notified of the incident, Royal Gendarmerie elements immediately began the necessary investigations to determine the circumstances and details of the accident, and to uncover the surrounding causes.
