The streets of the capital, Rabat, have been adorned with a national theme, with national flags raised along the main roads leading from Mechouar Saïd towards the Parliament building, in preparation for the reception of King Mohammed VI, on the occasion of the opening of the first session of the first legislative year of the twelfth legislative term.
These preparations come in conjunction with the constitutional date for the opening of the legislative year, as His Majesty the King is expected to preside over the opening session at the Parliament building this Friday, October 9th, in the presence of members of both the House of Representatives and the House of Councillors.
On this occasion, King Mohammed VI will deliver a royal speech before the members of the legislative institution, which is expected to be broadcast live on radio and television, starting at 3:45 PM.
