HIBAPRESS – The Constitutional Union Party has chosen to align itself in a position of critical support for the upcoming government led by Fatima Ezzahra Mansouri, based on the convergence of its electoral program with that of the Authenticity and Modernity Party, while emphasizing its retention of the independence of its political decision.
This direction came after a meeting of the party's Political Bureau on Friday, October 9, 2026, following the Royal speech on the occasion of the opening of the first session of the first legislative year of the twelfth legislative term.
The party linked its political choice to the requirements of the next phase, and what it necessitates in terms of national mobilization and responsible participation in keeping pace with the major projects and ongoing reforms, affirming its determination to continue performing its political and institutional roles in a manner that serves the supreme interests of the Kingdom and defends the interests of the citizens.
In its assessment of the contents of the Royal speech, the Political Bureau praised the directives concerning the continuation of the implementation of strategic projects, the expansion of the private sector's contribution to investment and job creation, and the granting of special importance to youth issues. It also noted the importance of accelerating the activation of advanced regionalization and administrative decentralization, and improving the quality of public services in a manner that meets the expectations of citizens.
The party expressed its pride in what was stated in the speech regarding the unifying constants of the Kingdom, and what it included in confirming the depth of Moroccan history and the rootedness of the Royal institution within it, and the status of religious identity under the leadership of the Commander of the Faithful, in addition to the multiplicity of civilizational tributaries that constitute the Moroccan identity.
The Constitutional Union reiterated its affirmation that defending national interests and the interests of citizens will remain a fundamental determinant of its political stances, within the framework of keeping pace with reforms and major projects, while maintaining the independence of its choices.
