HIBAPRESS – Abdel Latif Barka
Search and rescue teams managed, on Sunday, October 11th, to find the body of the driver of the car that was swept away by floods in the El Bleida region of Zagora province. The body was found in a valley in the Foum Zguid area, near the village of Iska, in the Ucom ledgement of Tata province.
The discovery of the victim's body came after search and combing operations that were initiated by various concerned authorities since Saturday, following the torrential floods that hit the El Bleida region, which caused the sweeping away of a double-cab pickup truck driven by the deceased.
Upon the discovery of the body, the competent public prosecution was notified to take the necessary legal measures, in preparation for handing over the body of the deceased to his family according to the established procedures.
This tragic incident highlights the dangers of crossing valleys and watercourses during periods of rainfall, given the threat that sudden floods can pose to the lives of road users and neighboring areas.
