HIBAPRESS – Abdelatif El Baz
As part of bringing consular services closer to members of the Moroccan community residing abroad, the General Consulate of the Kingdom of Morocco in Tarragona organized, on Saturday, October 24, 2026, open days to enable applicants to complete their administrative transactions outside of weekday working hours, particularly for individuals whose professional or academic commitments prevent them from utilizing consular services during regular hours.

In an exclusive statement to HIBAPRESS, the Consul General of the Kingdom of Morocco in Tarragona, Sanaa Marouh, confirmed that this initiative falls within the framework of the strategy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Abroad, and in implementation of the high royal directives aimed at enhancing care for the Moroccan community abroad, facilitating their access to consular services, improving the quality of reception, and responding to the expectations of applicants.
The step was well received by the beneficiaries, who praised its importance in facilitating administrative procedures and providing more suitable conditions for fulfilling their consular needs, which enhances communication between the consular institution and members of the Moroccan community, and solidifies the approach of proximity in providing services to Moroccans residing abroad.
