EU considering new sanctions against Russia

European Union foreign ministers in an emergency meeting Wednesday looked at imposing new sanctions on Russia after it mobilized reservists for its war in Ukraine, the bloc’s top diplomat said.

“We will study, we will adopt, new restrictive measures, both personal and sectoral,” EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell told reporters after the meeting, while adding that a final decision needed to be made at a formal session.
