A new group of approximately 400 Moroccan seasonal female agricultural workers departed from the port of Tangier to Spain yesterday, Friday. This operation was supervised by the Minister of Economic Integration, Entrepreneurship, Employment, and Skills, Younès El Skhouri.
El Skhouri and the Spanish delegation, along with the female beneficiaries and key stakeholders of this operation, discussed mechanisms and means to improve the follow-up procedures for seasonal female agricultural workers, addressing their needs and opening new perspectives to strengthen cooperation in this project.
This operation is part of the bilateral cooperation between Morocco and Spain and the continuation of the journeys of seasonal female agricultural workers for the year 2024 from the port of Tangier-ville to the port of Tarifa. This initiative aims to provide seasonal employment opportunities in the agricultural sector in Spain to nearly 16,000 Moroccan women from rural areas in all regions of Morocco.
