The city of El Jadida witnessed a sad incident on Sunday evening, involving the discovery of a night watchman in his seventies, found dead inside his guard shack where he slept while working.
According to local sources, the deceased was known among the residents for his humility and dedication to his duties. He occasionally received food assistance from some neighbors as part of humanitarian initiatives. On the night of the incident, one of these neighbors went, as usual, to deliver dinner to the watchman, but was surprised to find him lying on the ground next to his chair, motionless and deceased. The incident mobilized the local authorities and security forces, who went to the scene immediately after being notified. The body was examined, and an investigation was opened to determine the circumstances of the death. The body was transferred to the morgue of the regional hospital for an autopsy.
