HIBAPRESS – Rabat
Cosumar Group, a key player in the Moroccan food industry, participated in the third edition of the National Industry Day, organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade in partnership with the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises, and under the high patronage of King Mohammed VI, under the theme: "Made in Morocco Brand: Guarantee of Quality, Competitiveness, and a Mechanism for Integrated Territorial Development."

A century of support for the national industry. For nearly a hundred years, Cosumar has accompanied the development of the Moroccan food industry, placing local production and Moroccan expertise at the heart of its economic model. A developed industrial system to ensure national supply. The group owns seven sugar factories and two refineries distributed across five regions, including the Sidi Bennour refinery, which began production in 2024, with a production capacity of 2.5 million tons of white sugar annually. This system enables a stable supply to the national market, with the export of about one million tons annually to more than 80 international destinations, which enhances Morocco's position among the world's major sugar producers. Cosumar also supports national food industries, contributing to raising the competitiveness of local production. An integrated model for the aggregation of farmers. The group relies on a farmer aggregation model that includes more than 80,000 cooperating farmers, through multi-year program contracts developed in coordination with the state, to support food sovereignty and sustainable agricultural development. More than 120 engineers and agricultural consultants supervise this system, with the digitization of the entire agricultural chain through the "Tayssir" platform, to track crops, manage inputs, and organize field operations with high efficiency. In addition, 374 small and medium enterprises are integrated in the fields of agricultural inputs, mechanical works, and logistics, which contributes to the dynamism of the sugar chain, and Cosumar annually injects about 3 billion dirhams into the rural world to promote local development and social cohesion. Permanent commitment and a pivotal role in the national economy. Cosumar celebrates the "Made in Morocco" brand initiative, which highlights the efficiency of national production and the Moroccan workforce. The company, as a citizen enterprise, affirms its pivotal role in the national economy by ensuring a continuous supply of sugar to the market and accompanying an efficient agricultural and industrial chain, in addition to enhancing the radiance of the "Made in Morocco" brand as a symbol of sovereignty and territorial development.
