With the beginning of the olive harvest season, the "Al-Fayda Al-Khadra" olive press, located on National Road No. 6 in the Tadart commune of Guercif province, announced the launch of the process of receiving the olive crop of the farmers, in order to press it and extract olive oil according to modern techniques that meet the standards of quality and food safety in force.
The management of the olive press confirmed that "Al-Fayda Al-Khadra" has been equipped with modern and advanced equipment, which allows processing and grinding large quantities of olives daily in short time periods, while respecting the various precise technical stages, which ensures the preservation of the quality of the final product and the extraction of high-quality virgin olive oil. The operators of the olive press explained that the pressing process is carried out according to an integrated system that starts from the stage of receiving the crop, passing through cleaning and grinding, up to storage in appropriate health conditions, relying on modern means that respect national and international standards in the field of food safety, and contribute to preserving the natural characteristics of the oil in terms of color, taste, and nutritional value. This initiative falls within the framework of supporting small and medium farmers in the Guercif region, by providing a reliable professional space to press their crop in appropriate technical and health conditions, especially in light of the important position that olive cultivation holds in the region, as it is one of the main pillars of local agricultural activity and an important source of income. This step also reflects the dynamism that the agricultural sector in the province is experiencing, and the local actors' endeavor to value agricultural products and improve their quality, in line with the national trends aimed at developing production chains and achieving added value for farmers.
