The Marrakech authorities have decided to close the road bridge linking Marrakech and Tamensourt in the direction of Safi after a partial collapse was recorded due to the recent rainfall.
This decision came after a field inspection carried out by a specialized technical committee that assessed the technical condition of the damaged bridge and the risk it poses to road users.
In contrast, the new adjacent bridge was opened in both directions to ensure the smooth flow of traffic and avoid any traffic congestion in the area.
Available data confirmed that the closed bridge will remain out of service until the necessary technical studies are completed and the necessary repairs are carried out before reopening it to traffic.
