The Moroccan national team qualified for the semi-finals of the African Cup of Nations after its exciting victory over Cameroon with two goals to nil in the match that brought them together on Friday evening at the Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat, as part of the quarter-final matches.
Ibrahim Diaz opened the scoring for the Moroccan national team in the 26th minute, and Ismail Saibari added the second goal in the 74th minute.
With this victory, the Moroccan national team secured its qualification to the semi-finals, becoming the second team to advance to this stage after Senegal had secured its qualification earlier in the day.
The last time the Moroccan national team reached the semi-finals of the African Cup of Nations was in the 2004 edition in Tunisia when they reached the final and finished as runners-up.
The Moroccan national team will meet in the semi-finals with the winner of the summit between Algeria and Nigeria, which will be held tomorrow, Saturday, starting at five o'clock at the Grand Marrakech Stadium.
