The Minister Delegate in charge of Relations with Parliament, the Official Spokesperson for the Government, Mustapha Byitas, announced on Thursday that the number of widows benefiting from the direct social support program has reached 390,000.
Byitas explained, in response to a question during a press meeting after the government council meeting, that the social support system now includes 3.9 million families, recalling that the financial envelope allocated to the project of generalizing social protection reached 41.5 billion dirhams for the current year. The minister affirmed that the number of beneficiaries of this system has quadrupled, pointing out that this support embodies one of the basic pillars of the government's vision in its part related to the establishment of the social state. He added that the government is focused on the actual implementation of the social support project, emphasizing its openness to discussing and developing the path of this project to ensure the treatment of possible imbalances.
