The Confederation of African Football (CAF) condemned the unacceptable behavior exhibited by some players and members of the technical staff of the Senegalese national team during the final of the African Cup of Nations Morocco 2025, which brought together the Moroccan and Senegalese teams on the evening of Sunday, January 18, 2026, on the pitch of the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat.
CAF clarified in a statement issued today, Monday, January 19, 2026, that it strongly condemns all forms of unsportsmanlike conduct that may occur during matches, especially those targeting the match officials or those in charge of organizing it. The Confederation of African Football confirmed that it would study all video clips related to the incident, and that the file would be referred to the competent authorities to take the necessary disciplinary measures against anyone proven to be involved.
