The road section linking Douar Al-Khandaq and Souk Al-Ahad, belonging to the municipality of Bni Bouchibet, led by Tafersant in Al Hoceima province, witnessed a dangerous mountain collapse that led to a complete road closure, following the fall of large amounts of soil and stones on the road.
According to local data, this collapse resulted from the recent rainfall, turning the road into a black spot that threatens the safety of the residents and road users, especially with the continued weather fluctuations and the instability of climatic conditions, which increases the possibility of additional collapses at any moment. The incident has raised a state of concern among the residents, who found themselves isolated, coinciding with the disruption of movement and the difficulty of accessing basic services, especially for traders, students, and patients. In this context, the residents demanded urgent intervention from the competent authorities, by sending the necessary mechanisms to open the road as soon as possible, and taking sustainable preventive measures to reduce the recurrence of such incidents, and ensure the safety of citizens and the road infrastructure in the region.
