HIBAPRESS – Abdellatif Baraka
The outskirts of the city of Agadir witnessed, on the evening of Friday, February 6th, two separate traffic accidents that resulted in the death of a young man and the injury of another with varying degrees of seriousness, which brought back to the forefront the issue of road safety, especially at points with heavy traffic.
The first accident occurred in the Tamacit area, which belongs to the municipality of Ad-Drarqa, where a young man died after being run over by a car under circumstances that are still under investigation by the Royal Gendarmerie. The victim's body was transported to the morgue, and an investigation was opened to determine the circumstances of the accident and the responsibilities arising from it. The second accident was recorded at a roundabout near the port of Agadir, where a young man was run over by a car, which necessitated his rapid transfer to the regional hospital to receive the necessary treatment. According to preliminary data, his health condition is under medical observation, pending the results of the necessary examinations. These accidents shed light again on the dangers of driving on a number of road axes, especially during periods of heavy traffic, which requires strengthening preventive measures and respecting traffic rules, in order to avoid the recurrence of such accidents that result in painful human losses.
