Karamat beach, located about 20 kilometers from Sidi Ifni, was shaken today, Saturday, by a murder suspected to be linked to a dispute that arose during a drinking session. Royal Gendarmerie elements were able to apprehend the main suspect in the Amzdoug neighborhood shortly after the investigation began.
According to preliminary information, the victim and the suspect, who were friends and hailed from the Arksis region south of Sidi Ifni, engaged in a heated discussion that escalated into a fight, resulting in the death of one of them. The precise circumstances of the crime are still under judicial investigation.
The suspect has been placed under police custody, under the supervision of the competent public prosecution, to complete the investigation and determine the circumstances of the incident.
