The Minister of Interior and the Minister of Health and Social Protection issued a joint decision No. 1250, stipulating the unification of the design of hearses in the Kingdom.
According to the new decision, the vehicles will not include any religious phrases or slogans, and will be limited to two green stripes on the sides and the clear phrase "Hearse", with a reference to the vehicle owner. The decision stipulates that these vehicles be displayed in a completely neutral manner, free of Quranic verses or the usual religious slogans, with the aim of adopting an accurate and direct description of the service only. These provisions come to determine a unified design for funeral service vehicles, with a focus on neutrality, and to facilitate the identification of the owning party without any religious symbols or decorative additions.
