HIBAPRESS – Fikri Ouldali
The municipality of Ajdir, in the province of Al Hoceima, is experiencing a state of growing concern, amidst circulated information and local complaints regarding recorded burglary incidents targeting a number of homes belonging to members of the Moroccan diaspora residing abroad, especially during their absence from the region.
These incidents, which await the findings of official investigations and inquiries, have sparked increasing fears among diaspora members, particularly those with homes that remain closed for extended periods. They are calling for enhanced security presence and intensified patrols and surveillance in various neighborhoods and residential areas.
Voices are also rising, demanding that this phenomenon be dealt with seriously and firmly, and that those involved be identified if the incidents are proven, and brought to justice according to the law, which would enhance the sense of security and protect citizens' property.
Conversely, it remains essential to await the results of investigations conducted by the competent authorities, and not to accuse or assign responsibility to any person or entity before it is officially proven, in order to preserve the integrity of legal procedures and the rights of all parties.
The residents of Ajdir and diaspora members are looking forward to an effective security intervention that would curb these acts and enhance the protection of homes and properties, especially during the absence of their owners.
