The elements of the judicial police detachment in the Rahma security district of Casablanca city, in the early hours of Tuesday, October 13, managed to arrest two individuals, aged 26 and 52, on suspicion of their involvement in possessing and promoting smuggled tobacco.
The two suspects were arrested in Casablanca city, caught in the act of possessing and promoting smuggled tobacco powder on board a goods transport truck. The seizure and search operation resulted in finding one ton of tobacco powder in their possession.
The suspects have been placed under judicial custody pending the investigation, supervised by the competent public prosecution, to uncover all circumstances and details of this case, and to identify all potential ramifications of this criminal activity.
